The society, along with the Devon History Society,
sponsored the Christopher Holdsworth Memorial Lecture on 2 September in Exeter
Guildhall. Professor Julia Crick's topic
was `Norman Devon and the Sea' and Professor Peter Wiseman opened the
afternoon with a short eulogy on Christopher's life.
